^^montagna: "VIA FEDERICI-ANTONELLI"

Per evitare piogge pomeridiane sul massiccio del Gran Sasso, anticipiamo la partenza del nostro avvicinamento da Cima Alta.
Percorriamo parte del sentiero Pier Paolo Ventricini e poco prima di arrivare alla forcella del canale del Tesoro Nascosto lo abbandoniamo per risalire a mancina tutto l'incassato canale Bonacossa fino al termine sull'omonima forcella.
Da questo punto si apre tutta la bellissima placconata calcarea della parete sud-ovest della Prima Spalla del Corno Piccolo, con a sinistra la via "Federici-Antonelli" che oggi scaliamo.
Fu aperta nell'estate del 1939, ed ebbe la prima ripetizione nell'agosto del 1957 a dimostrazione ancora una volta che i "Gransassisti" dell'epoca che scalavano con pesanti scarponi, erano davvero bravi.
Si trovano difficoltà fino al V° grado lungo quest'itinerario verticale e logico, con un tratto in uno stretto camino/fessura un po' ostico e faticoso da scalare senza zaino.
La via finisce sulla cresta della Prima Spalla ed oramai in vista della vetta del Corno Piccolo sulla quale però oggi non andiamo, preferendo scendere direttamente per l'ombrosa "Normale da Nord" (passi di II° in disarrampicata), oggi resa scivolosa a causa dell'umido ristagnante per il maltempo dei giorni passati.


To avoid the rain in the afternoon as forecasts say, from CIMA ALTA we start in the early morning. We go on the SENTIERO VENTRICINI and before the seddle of the CANALE DEL TESORO NASCOSTO, on our left we climb the CANALE BONACOSSA up to its end on the namesake seddle, arriving at the base of the beautiful limestone south-west wall of the PRIMA SPALLA DEL CORNO PICCOLO, with on left the FEDERICI-ANTONELLI route.
For the first time it climbed in 1939, and only on august 1957 was its second ascent. With their mountain vintage equipment the first were really capables.
On this vertical route, you can have difficulties up to V° (U.I.A.A.), also crossing a tiring stretch in a very narrow split, to climb absolutely without backpack.
The mountaineering route ends on the PRIMA SPALLA ridge, below the nearby CORNO PICCOLO top, were we do not go. With care we descent on the VIA NORMALE DA NORD, a little slipery at cause of the past days rain.

^^montagna: "NEBBIA AL CAMPANILE"

Con previsioni meteo incerte e probabili temporali in arrivo nel pomeriggio, andiamo a scalare sul Campanile Livia del Corno Piccolo la Via dei Triestini per la sua variante d'attacco aperta da Gigi Mario.
La non lunga linea di salita sale dritta verticale dalla base alla cima del campanile. Inizia per un canale/camino, poi per un deciso diedro (tratto chiave), quindi per un bel sistema di fessure, per finire quindi su di una placca molto aerea.
Abbiamo scalato tra nebbia ed umidità e per quello che mi riguarda valutando ogni centimetro quadrato della roccia sulla quale mettevo mani e piedi. Arrivati sulla sommità della guglia, il rumore dei vicini tuoni ci faceva preferire scendere in corda doppia invece di proseguire scalando la cresta delle Fiamme di Pietra.


With thunderstorm forecast in the afternoon on the GRAN SASSO massif, strange summer this because every days there are rain on mountain, we go to climb on CAMPANILE LIVIA, an elegant limestone steeple, on the mountaineering route VIA DEI TRIESTINI for its attack-variant GIGI MARIO.
This not long route, goes streight from the base up to the top of the steeple, overcrossing at the start a steep rock gully, so a vertical dihedral (key of the climbing), after on beautiful rock splits, and at the end on an aereal rock plate.
We climbed in the fog and humidity, and for me with great care and concentation on every movement.
At the end of the climbing, on the top of the CAMPANILE LIVIA, we listen the thunders all around us, therefore we prefer fastly descend by rapple down instead to continue our trip on the FIAMME DI PIETRA ridge.

^^montagna: "CIMA DELLE MALECOSTE"

Partendo dalla stazione di arrivo a monte della funivia di Campo Imperatore, l'undici di agosto '18, dopo poco più di un mese dalla caduta in montagna, ho cercato un tranquillo giro fino alla Cima delle Malecoste/2444mt, passando per il Pizzo Cefalone/2533mt e la Cima Woytila/2225mt.
Tra questi due rilievi la rocciosa linea di cresta è molto aerea, articolata ed esposta ma non difficile. Il tratto finale invece è più arrotondato, comunque sempre con panoramici affacci verso il Pizzo d'Intermesoli, il monte Corvo, l'anfiteatro del Venacquaro, il Lago di Campotosto, il Corno Grande ed il Corno Piccolo.


After my mountain accident in the last June 30th, on this August 11th I want an easy mountain ascent, so I choose the CIMA DELLE MALECOSTE/2444mt.
Starting from the hight station of CAMPO IMPERATORE cableway and crossing PIZZO CEFALONE/2533mt and CIMA WOYTILA/2225mt, up to the target.
Between these two peaks, we overcross a very aerial, exposed but not hard ridge, and just belowe the easy MALECOSTE top we can see a very beautiful panorama with the PIZZO D'INTERMESOLI, the SELLA DEL VENACQUARO, the LAGO DI CAMPOTOSTO, the MONTE CORVO, the CORNO GRANDE and the CORNO PICCOLO.
