--immersioni: "OLTRE L' ALFA"

Con un'immersione profonda, avevo in mente da tempo di dare un'occhiata oltre il relitto dell'Alfa Romeo Giulietta affondata a Malcesine(VR), sponda est del Lago di Garda.
Inizio a prepararmi di mattino presto, e alle sette e mezza inizio.
Nell'acqua tersa raggiungo l'Alfa a quasi 60 metri, poi entro in un territorio per me mai visto, sconosciuto e per me stimolante.
Senza affrettarmi avanzo, ed illuminando scruto il fondale con rari scogli fino ad 80 metri.
Da questo punto in poi l'inclinazione è meno marcata rispetto a sopra. Allora aiutato dalla bussola nell'acqua sempre con ottima visibilità e senza mai forzare continuo. A 92 metri mi fermo e con la torcia illumino a giro d'orizzonte attorno, osservando il fondale che continua a rimanere senza scogli e con pendenza non decisa. Decido d'iniziare la risalita. Ripasso per l'Alfa Romeo, e poi ancora su. Nell'acqua luminosa smaltisco la decompressione, e alle 9 e 35 riemergo.

With a deep dive, I had thought to explore below the car wreck of the ALFA ROMEO GIULIETTA, at MALCESINE (VR) in the east side of Lake GARDA.
In the early morning I prepare me, and at half past seven I start.
I reach the ALFA's wreck at 60 meters of depht, then I go beyond entering in an unknown ground very intriguing for me.
I continue without haste but with costancy, illuminating with my dive light the bottom with few rocks on. I arrive at 80 meters of depht.
Continuing I can see that the slope of the bottom is less than above. The compass helps me to stay on the maximum slope, and so into the water with good visibility with calm I reach 92 meters.
Around me the bottom is still not steep, so I decide me for the ascent, where I see the Alfa Romeo. At twentyfive to ten I return on surface.

Quando in Italia uscì sul mercato a metà degli anni '50, l'Alfa Romeo "GIULIETTA" era considerata una Signora automobile e tale è rimasta anche poi, segno di successo, sebbene con le naturali modifiche del design che i tempi, il mercato e le mode del momento richiedevano, e richiedono.
Sotto le acque del Lago di Garda poco a nord di Malcesine(VR), ad una profondità di 59 metri giace il relitto di una di loro molto probabilmente datata inizio anni '60, e come la maggior parte dei relitti sommersi di macchine dopo essere stata rubata ed adoperata per faccende di malavita, affondata sotto le acque, fin quando un sub un giorno la ritrovò.
Nell'acqua limpida tipica dell'inverno di questo grande lago/piccolo mare, ho iniziato da una comoda spiaggia a due passi dal parcheggio. Nel buio si è materializzata alla luce della mia torcia.
Le ho nuotato attorno osservandola con attenzione, mentre riprendevo quelle sue "linee" che, sebbene passate, rimangono comunque eleganti.


In Italy the Alfa Romeo "GIULIETTA", first marketed in the mid-1950s, was considered a car Lady and a symbol: a sign of success.
Few after Malcesine(VR), belowe Lake Garda east shore is located the wreck of one of them at 59 meters of depth, and with high probability like all car-wrecks below the lakes, used for illegal business and then sunk.
In the clear winter water of this large lake, or little sea, from an easy shore nearby the park car I started. So I went down in the darkness and suddenly I have illuminated it.
I swam very slowly to watch and to take video on the GIULIETTA lines, now out of the actual fashion but ever green and beautiful. (Giacinto Marchionni)
